Display Options

Change the display settings of the map

• Show Places Seen shows data from trips where this species was seen.
• Show Places Not Seen includes data from trips to this location where this species was not seen.
• Show Range Map will display a range where this species can be found.
• Avg. Map Points will display an average abundance across all count years.

Display Criteria / Data Filter

This button allows you to change the years, timespan, and state/province included in the data.

Chart Type

Here you can change between different types of charts to display.
You can choose between "Average # Seen per Party-Hour", "% of Surveys Where Found", and "# Surveys Where Found".

Chart of the Data

This section displays the data for each year. Click on any bar to display that year's data on the map.

Animate the Map

Clicking this button will cycle the map through each year's data, showing the progression.

Abundance

This legend shows the size marker for different levels of abundance. Abundance is determined by dividing the number of butterflies seen by the number of party hours.

Selected Items

Section shows the trips for each area in a particular location. Click on any of the circles on the map to fill this section with trip data from that location.
