Description

An orange grass-skipper with small, dark spots scattered over the undersides of its wings.

Habitat

Open grassy areas, including road verges and suburban lawns.

Flight Period

Southward, throughout warm weather. Individuals move northward as the season progresses.

Caterpillar Foodplants

Bermudagrass (Cynodon dactylon) and other grasses (Poaceae).
