This miniature purple and yellow sunrise will surely wake up any avid butterflier.

Habitat

Sagebrush flats and mountain meadows.

Flight Period

Mainly June-Aug., about three weeks at any given locality.

Caterpillar Foodplants

Knotweeds (Polygonum).
