The relationships among the many populations that comprise the Spring Azure complex appears to be extremely complex. It is possible that when enough information is available, that we will treat them as a single species, or, at the other extreme, consider each population as a separate species. One problem with considering each population as a separate species would be that these populations are not really distinguishable in the field.
